VIRTUAL GIG ANNOUNCEMENT! 🎮

From Console to Concert Hall! 2.0 / Virtual Concert / 9th of April 2021/ Featuring Grant Kirkhope & Josh Mancell!

We hope that everybody is staying safe and well during these troubled times, and enjoying our content with respect to social distancing! Following on from the success of our debut performance last year, we are delighted to announce the release date of our second concert! 🎶

In February 2019, “From Console to Concert Hall” was met with critical acclaim from audiences and renowned video game composers across the globe:

“It’s amazing how those humble Spyro tunes have inspired such expansions & extrapolations out in the world. Interesting that these riffs, created in extreme haste, have had such an effect. Proof that the best music is shot from the hip. Many thanks to Tom & his Manchester Orcs!” - Stewart Copeland 🥁

“Crash Team Racing gets a very well-executed orchestral medley. Truly impressed, humbled & honored!” - Josh Mancell 🎺

The newly founded Manchester Video Game Orchestra aims to introduce new audiences to the world of video game music through live orchestral performance; in doing so, giving video game composers the credit and recognition that they deserve! 🎶

Unfortunately, due to ongoing COVID restrictions we are unable to bring our next concert to Manchester Academy. However, we are delighted to be hosting a virtual concert instead! Featuring the music from a selection of your favourite video games; you will have the opportunity to indulge in the soundtrack of your childhood performed by The Manchester Video Game Orchestra, rock band and choir - and all from the comfort of your own home! 🎮

Stay tuned for further announcements!
