Austin Miller - Solo Guitar
Glasgow based classical and contemporary guitarist Austin Miller began his studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (junior department) at the age of 15. He enjoyed great success as a junior at the RCS and was awarded prizes as one of the top three performers at the annual classical guitar competitions. In the years to follow Austin began his undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, now in his 3rd year.
Although a talented solo classical guitarist Austin is also passionate about chamber music and performing along side other musicians. Forming different duos with mandolinist, flautist and other guitarists. His interest in other musical genres, including jazz, pop and rock music has lead him to start his own solo/band project performing/writing and recording his own material based around alternative rock but bringing influences of Jazz and classical music.
As a soloist and as part of his band he has toured and performed at various venues around Scotland and the UK. As Austin is a versatile guitarist he has a wide range of repertoire and can offer a different range of performances such as classical guitar recitals, background music and popular covers/original songs.
